1551 Eastlake

The award-winning 1551 Eastlake Building, which served as the temporary headquarters for a prominent Seattle-based private foundation, was completed over the course of a decade and features the finest-quality tenant improvement work. When the project was started, the building was a decaying two-story concrete records storage warehouse for a financial institution. Upon completion, the building took on a crisp, contemporary flair and grew to three stories with a dramatic 17,000 square foot, steel-framed penthouse, featuring the extensive use of architectural metals and distinctive glazing systems.

In total, over 100,000 square feet of interior space with Class “A” interior tenant improvements was created on all three levels. The penthouse component was completed while the two floors below were fully occupied. THe project received the “Excellence in Construction” award from Associated Builders & Contractors for its high-quality workmanship.
